Accessibility at The Queen Elizabeth
Planning a visit to The Queen Elizabeth on Gayton Road? Here is what we can tell you about getting here, parking and access, plus how to reach us about anything we have not covered.
Getting in
Step-free access and parking right by the door
The Queen Elizabeth sits on Gayton Road in Gaywood, beside Queen Elizabeth Hospital, with its own free car park. The practical basics are below.
Step-free access into the pub
The Queen Elizabeth has step-free, level access from the car park into the bar and dining area, so you can come straight in without stairs.
Free on-site parking, close to the door
Park for free in our own car park beside the pub, with accessible bays near the entrance. Please use our car park rather than hospital parking for a pub visit.
Tell us your access needs
Have a specific requirement? Call 01553 824083 before you visit so the team can help with seating, getting to your table or anything else that makes the day easier.
Free on-site parking
Our own car park, with accessible bays
There is free on-site parking for guests, including accessible bays near the entrance, so it is a short, level route from the car to the door.
Please park in our car park rather than using hospital parking when you are visiting the pub — the hospital car park is for hospital patients and visitors. Our spaces are reserved for guests of The Queen Elizabeth and put you close to a step-free way in.
If you would like a bay kept free, or you are bringing a larger group, give us a ring on 01553 824083 and we will do what we can to help on the day.

Specific access needs
Tell us what would help before you visit
The Queen Elizabeth has step-free access and an accessible toilet. Every visit is different, so if you have a specific requirement the best thing is to talk to us first — call us on 01553 824083 and we will help you plan.
It also helps to mention any requirements when you book a table — for example, if you would prefer a table with easy access, more room to move around, or a quieter spot. The team will do their best to set things up before you arrive.
