Allergies, Dietary Needs and Spice Levels

Our process
How we look after allergies and dietary needs
A few simple things help us get your order right, every time you visit.
Always tell us before ordering
Please tell us before ordering if you have any food allergies. Every care is taken, but traces of allergens may remain. That is why we ask every guest with an allergy or intolerance to let us know as they order, so the kitchen can take the right care with your dishes.
Spice levels are adjustable
Bespoke spice levels available - just ask. Our Himalayan curries and clay-oven grills can be dialled up or down, so a table can share the same dishes at different heat levels. If you are not sure where to start, ask the team for a recommendation.
Vegetarian and gluten-free options
You will find vegetarian-labelled dishes throughout the menu, and a number of plates carry a gluten-free (GF) label. Because we cook fresh in a busy kitchen, those labels are a helpful guide rather than a cast-iron guarantee — please confirm with the team on the day.
Vegan and halal requests
For vegan or halal requirements, please ask the team. We would rather talk it through with you than make a promise we cannot stand behind, so call 01553 824083 or speak to staff when you arrive and we will tell you honestly what is possible.
What this means for you
Practical points before you order
Tell us before you order
Please mention any food allergies or intolerances when you order, not after. Our team can talk you through dishes from the Nepalese kitchen and the British pub menu so you can choose with confidence.
Spice levels you control
Curries and grills can be cooked to suit you. Bespoke spice levels are available — just ask, whether you want it gentle or properly fiery.
Vegetarian choices
The menu carries vegetarian-labelled dishes across starters, curries and sides — from veg momo to paneer and vegetable curries.
Gluten-free labelling
Some dishes carry a gluten-free (GF) label. These labels are advisory, so please confirm with the team on the day and flag a coeliac diagnosis when you order.
Kids and lighter appetites
There is a kids' menu with familiar, simpler plates, and many curries can be made milder, so younger guests and lighter appetites are looked after too.
Reading the menu labels
GF, Veg and spice markers are a quick guide, not a guarantee. They help you narrow choices, but the team is the final word on what suits your needs.
Menu labels
What the symbols on the menu mean
These markers appear next to dishes to help you choose at a glance. They are advisory — always confirm allergy-critical needs with the team.
